Plagiarism Policy

Heritage: International Journal of Linguistics and Literature upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and enforces a strict Plagiarism Policy in alignment with the guidelines established by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. This policy ensures the originality and credibility of all published works by adhering to the following key principles:

  • Turnitin Report Requirement: All submissions must include a Turnitin Similarity Report at the time of submission to verify originality.
  • Overall Similarity Limit: The total similarity index for a manuscript must not exceed 19%, ensuring minimal overlap with existing works.
  • Single Source Restriction: No single source should contribute more than 4% to the overall similarity index, preventing over-reliance on any one reference.
  • Comprehensive Source Verification: Manuscripts are cross-referenced against an extensive database of academic content to detect potential overlaps or duplication.
  • Violation Consequences: Manuscripts that fail to meet these standards may be rejected outright, or authors may be required to revise and resubmit their work to ensure compliance with the journal’s plagiarism policy.

By enforcing this rigorous policy, Heritage: International Journal of Linguistics and Literature reaffirms its commitment to maintaining academic excellence and the credibility of published research.
