Abstract

The question of relativism and pluralism in African literature remains issues currently developed by writers and intellectuals. The beliefs and cultural values impact the works of writers in each part of the globe. Reading diverse scopes of African literature from the different corners and societies makes readers have a larger understanding of African plurality and relativism. In this article we seek to analyze the question of relativism and pluralism in the context of African literary studies, more precisely in African literature. By developing the ideology of pluralism and relativism we would develop the question of diversity and dissimilarities in African literature. The ideologies of relativism and pluralism in African literature in this paper concern a comparative study of African literature and the larger outstanding images of African study’s socio-political orientated formalities. Therefore, we seek to develop the relativism of African literature in the understanding of African diversity and richness. In other words, this work makes additional informational on the meaning and understanding of African literature criticisms and orientations.
